What in the World?

We went up North for Thanksgiving and it was way cold. It was so cold that when we were driving I asked Brandon if we could turn around. I was so cold all week. I was worried about the kids because they were sick. We made it back to the warmer weather. It has been a little cold at home too.
Now for the cute picture of Dantzel. We were up at Grandma and Grandpa Rice's house helping them get ready for Thursday and Dantzel kept coming in the room where we all were with black all over her face. This picture was one of the cutier photos. So you are all probably wondering what it is that she got into. Well, it took us a while to figure it out ourselves. Grandma and Grandpa have a fireplace in there big room. For a while we thought she was somehow putting her face right on the fireplace. I knew that wasn't the case because she would have come and told me that it was HOT. And another reason why I knew that wasn't the case is because I tell her every time we are up there that it is HOT and that it will burn her. I think she is scared of it. Anyhow, it was funny because she wouldn't ever have any black on her hands (weird). Come to find out she was looking out the big window and putting her face right up against it. The window was all dirty from having the fireplace on all the time. No worries, I washed the windows for them so they wont have that problem with any other grand kids for a while anyway. :) Grandma started fricking out because she was afraid it was going to start turning everything black. She was also afraid that her lungs were going to stop working. Brandon had to explain to her that it was all going to be okay. He told her that that was part of having a fireplace in her home.
This is the only photo you get to enjoy for our Thanksgiving Holiday. I didn't get my camera out once. Brandon is the one who even took the picture of Dantzel. I need to be better. Hope you all had a great Turkey Day!

This year Chris asked me to help the office with decorating a tree for the Festival of Trees. At the time, I told myself I was never going to do something like that again. It was a lot of work! After seeing the finished product, I think I could get into doing it again next year. It really made me get into the Christmas Spirit early.
The night before the festival started we took the kids to see all the people getting there trees set up. That was a lot of fun. Somehow, someone got a picture of Dantzel by our tree. We didn't realize it until the other night when Brandon and I were looking at the Newspaper. I saw Dantzel by our tree in a picture in the paper. Brandon didn't believe me until he saw the photo. Dantzel thinks it is pretty cool!
I would have set up my Christmas tree early (mid November) but, I was afraid Brandon would have made fun of me and so I waited until after Thanksgiving. It has been fun watching Dantzel and James with all the lights and decorations. I will have to post pictures of our house and tree later. These are just a few pictures of the tree we did for the Festival. I had to add the picture of the Mesquite Group Team just for the fun of it.

I put James in his swing because he really enjoys sitting up and just playing around. I was in checking my email and all the sudden heard Dantzel saying "Under Hot Dog" I know when she says that it means she is playing around with the swing. It is usually empty or has her doll or other toy in it. This time James was in it with his hat on backwards. He could hardly see but, that didn't stop him from having fun with his sister. Any how, I jumped up and went in the other room to see what was going on. James and Dantzel were both just laughing there heads off. It was so cute I ran for my camera. As you can see in the first photo James could only see through the back hat hole. The other pictures I was trying to get them to smile with there hats on. So, after we were done taking pictures on the swing we went on a bike ride with the kids in the trailer. They both had to keep there hats on the whole time. Then we went out in the back yard to play. Hats still on mind you. I finally had to take James hat off because it was driving me crazy. I kept on hitting my forehead on the hat rim.

James turning from a cute baby boy into a little old mad. I think he looks like an old mad in a hat. HEE HEE

My cute kids in there hats!

The Video I had wont let me put it on so you will just have to see how cute it all is from the pictures. :)

So I finally put James in his Rocking Chair that Brandon's very first clients made for him. This rocking chair is very special to us. Gary made this and it is only the third one he has ever made. I heard that his wife wanted to keep this in there house as a decoration but he wouldn't let her. Both our kids have really enjoyed sitting and rocking in this chair. I am sure we will many more photos to take while in the chair.

James was playing with the rabbit (Mr. Ed) and then he slowly fell into his pillow. The next thing we knew he was sound asleep with his leg over Mr. Ed. This rabbit belongs to Grandma Bug-A-Boo but my kids have taken it over for a while until we can sneak it back to her house. They play with this rabbit daily. Thanks Mom for the hours of entertainment. :)

ST. GEORGE TRIP!

So we started off the day with a great lunch at Olive Garden. We were so full of Salad and Bread sticks that we thought we better keep to our word and take Dantzel to a park to play. The kids love it. James even got to try out a big kid swing. He totally loved it! Dantzel had a blast as well playing at the park with all the slides and toys. She also met a little girl that she just had a ball with. I didn't get any pictures of them together(darn). Oh Man, so I tried putting on the videos we took but, the thing isn't working. Maybe next time. :(

As the day went we finally got to the reason we took the whole day off. We went and bought Brandon a new closet full of work clothes. It is always nice to buy clothes for Brandon because he only has to try on a few pairs of pants and then decide which ones he likes. From there we just go grab different colors of his favorites. Shirts are a breeze. We just grab the colors he wants.
From there we went over to the Rec Center to play Volleyball. That was the other reason we went to St. George. Just our luck the whole place was closed for maintenance. So we decided to just go home.

So we get into Mesquite and Brandon decided to go to Dairy Queen to get a Artic Rush. We pulled out of the parking lot and were stopped at the light. Our light was just about ready to turn green because the turn light was starting to change. Just before we know it we fell and hear a big BANG! We got hit from behind. Brandon's drink flew and got all over the car. I turned around to see if the kids were okay. Then got out to see if the person who hit us was okay. Brandon was asking what the heck happened. I guess the 17 year old girl blacked out and hit us. When I went over to talk to her she was crying and wanted to use my phone to call her parents. I let her. I asked her why she blacked out and she said "I do it all the time" I said WHAT??? She said "I mean I used to do it all the time but it has been about a year since the last time it happened". And then she said "I have never blacked out while driving". I was thinking that is because you haven't been driving very long and you shouldn't even be driving if this isn't the first time it has happened. Any how, we are all okay. I am still sore from the whip lash. Both Brandon and I had bad head aches last night. I have another head ache this morning but it might just be from all the stress of the accident. I hope I don't start getting bad head aches now. I guess we will just have to give it time. So our day went from great to bad. As silly as it sounds, I am very grateful she hit the back of us and didn't just black out right into the middle of the intersection. Things could have been a lot worse. We are very blessed to just have a messed up bumper and sticky inside car. Hopefully I don't have to go a long time without a car while it all gets fixed back to normal. That wouldn't be fair to me. Hopefully we can get a rental car or something. :)

So we have been trying a few new things to add to our blog. Hopefully they are fun for you all to look at. These photos were really fun to take of our cute kids. It is funny because Brandon and I will try take the camera away from each other just so we can try to get a cuter picture. They all usually turn out about the same. I guess we are just proud parents! :)
