Happy Birthday! (I copied this from Diana, great idea!)

Since Brandon turned 30 today, here are 30 Random things about him you may or may not know! FYI- they are in no special order!

1- He is very patient!

2- Very good teacher!

3- Loves to spend time with family on the lake!

4- He is kinda a techno nerd! Ever since he got his blackberry he loves to find new programs for it.

5- He doesn't have many tools. (thank goodness) it saves a lot of space in our garage!

6- He loves to work. It helps that he really enjoys his job!

7- He is a night owl.

8- He loves to sleep in too!
9- One day he thinks he is going to have like 5 boats.

10- He loves the lake!

11- He loves watching any sport on TV

12- He is almost always the first to apologize.

13- He gives into his kids and spoils them rotten!

14- He is a great cook! gotta love the picture I choose to put on here!

15- One day I might surprise him and put him in culinary school.

16- He is very good to keep our cars oils changed and tires rotated!

17- He loves to work on our boat. He has learned quite a bit about outboard engines. I am very proud of him for getting dirty and learning more about what he really loves!

18- He is a total city boy. I think I had to tell him the difference between a goat and a lamb. He's going to be so embarrassed I put this. sorry honey, its the truth!

19- I don't think it really bothers him that he is getting old

20- He loves a BBQ steak and potato for dinner. I should cook it more often for him. sorry!

21- He picks out all our meat when we go grocery shopping. He usually has to go with me about once a month just so we can stock up.
22- He is a good sport, when we tease him about his hair

23- He is starting to go very bald. We just shave it really short now.

24- He loves animals. He has a soft spot for any kind in his heart.

25- He hates to let me drive his car. He thinks I hot rod in it.

26- He is a great DANCER! we love to go country dancing when we can get a babysitter that will stay late! I miss our early dancing days!

27- He is a great dad and husband!

28- He is a very proud dad and loves to drop Dantzel off at preschool on Wed's (this means he gets into work late at about 10 on those mornings)

29- He tries to do a good job at his callings in church. Some days he could do a lot better but, who couldn't right?!?

30- He loves to play Volleyball. We used to play together quite a bit before our kids came along. I watch a lot and chase kids so he can continue to play.

Dantzel got to get all dressed up in her Halloween Costume for preschool. She had a lot of fun. She has learned a few new halloween songs too.

Quick trip to Utah

Last weekend we decided to take a quick road trip to see the Nielson Family. They just got a new milking cow! Can you believe my sister gets to milk twice a day! I think she is crazy! No worries, I still love them all!
They gave me lots of food to can. I made Pizza Sauce on Sunday and I did Peaches yesterday! YUMMY!!! Thanks for all the yummy food guys! :)

catching up

Last weekend Brandon's parents came and we decided to go to Vegas. We had fun spending the day at Bass Pro Shop. I took a few cute pictures and thought I would share them with all of you. :)

Weird things about myself, in no particular order:
1) I hate when people wear socks with sandals. Especially when they are flip flops!!!
2) I always have to put the toilet paper roll on a certain way. It bugs me when it is on the wrong way. I have been known to fix it if it is not the way I like it.
3) My day is more complete when my daughters hair is done! Some day's I have to do her hair more than once just so she is presentable.
4) My new hobby is making candy but, I don't eat it because I am on a diet. It really hasn't been that hard to stay away from it. I get to enjoy watching others eat what I have made. :)
5) I have made a cool bow maker that everyone tells me to patent but, I wont do it because I don't want to go through all the hassle. (I haven't even looked into it because I think it will be way too much work). I have made a bunch to sell. I think it is about time to make some more. I'm almost all sold out. :)
6) I babysit other peoples kids just so I can feel like I help out with the house payment. The funny thing is, all my babysitting money goes towards my hobbies and craft stuff. :)

selling water shares = SAD DAY!!!

The corn was getting so tall. I kept thinking (wishing) they were just going to let it keep growing. The other morning I heard the trucks. I was so sad. I had to grab my camera. My kids loved to watch the field get chopped. They didn't realize it was the last time. We really enjoyed having the cool breeze from the field as they would water. Now we get to look at the dried up ground. Hopefully it stays as a dried up field and people don't start building houses any time soon. No, I think we are safe for the time being. The field is in a flood zone.
My kids sure had fun waving to the truck drivers as they drove by the house like 500 times a day. It took them 3 days to cut because the corn was like 16 feet high.

I thought this post would be fun to do for James as well! I think it is a great way to journal about both kids. ENJOY!

Name and meaning: James Russell Park. We didn't know what our baby was going to be after having 2 ultrasounds. He wanted us to be surprised! We named him after 2 different special people. Brandon's grandpa is named James. He goes by Jim but that's okay. We think the world of him. The other special guy was a pioneer. His name was Russell James. We just switched the order. Brandon and I went and spent time before we were married at Ivie Creek. That is where He was murdered. Very meaningful to both Brandon and I.

Age: 17 Months

Nicknames: Jamesers (this is what his sister calls him), Bubba

Favorite activities: playing with is big sister, pretending to talk on the phone, coloring, riding his tractor, riding his plastic horse, dancing, jumping on the tramp, going to the park, watching movies, doing somersaults, swimming

Favorite foods (snacks): Fruit snacks, cheese any kind, Chocolate, crackers, pasta, potatos

Least favorite foods: I can't think of anything, he is a great eater

Favorite Music: anything with a beat, this kid loves to dance!

Favorite Toys: his blanket (is that considered a toy?) trucks, blocks, balls, tooth brushes, colored pencils

Favorite Book: My Furry Friends

Favorite item of clothing: he really LOVES his socks and shoes! Most kids take their shoes off when they are at home playing, not my little James, he wares his shoes all day!

What makes him happy: Playing with Daddy, wrestling with his sister (she doesn't like to wrestle as often as him), watching High School Musical with his sister, watching morning toons (cartoons).

What makes him sad: Not getting his way, he really doesn't like it when his grandma park tells him no, when his sister is mean to him and won't share her toys. James is very aware of others emotions. He is very cute when he knows someone is sad. He will go and give them hugs to make them feel better. Way CUTE!

James is a funny little guys to have around. He makes us laugh all the time. We are so glad he is a part of our family!!!
