grateful for...

GREAT NEIGHBORS and FRIENDS! I love that my neighbors and Friends are so good to us. It is so nice to be able to call and drop my kids off for a fast Dr. Appointment. I also use my neighbors for and egg or other cooking supply that I have happen to run out of. Thanks to all my neighbors. I really consider you all some of my BFF. Hopefully one day I will be able to pay you all back. :)

Thanks!

I just received my FREE picture in the mail from David Bowman. I totally love it and it is even more pretty in person. Thanks again for the free art!

"Innocence"
The Savior tells us we need to become as little children to inherit the kingdom of God. I've often wondered what it is about little children Jesus loves most, and I think its their innocence. They are clean slates, seeing the world and others through untarnished eyes. Their hearts are pure, without the baggage of cynicism and self-doubt. In this piece, I've tried to imagine how a child would act upon meeting the Master for the first time. Without reservation or inhibition, I think he would simply want to play with Him. He would be at complete ease, allowing his pure little heart to soak in the love and laughter of His pure, infinite heart. Its no wonder Christ delights in these little ones and sets them up to be our examples.

meeting our new cousin GWEN

Zach and Nikki had their baby on January 6th. She is a cute little girl. Both James and Dantzel had to have their turns holding her. Man, I am going to have my hands full when our baby comes. They think they are big helpers but, I am going to have to watch them like a hawk. Oh well, that's what life is about right?!?

Funny James

James is my funny kid! He is always wanting to do whatever his older sister is doing. Right now, Dantzel really just always wants to go swimming. Instead of me always saying no, I let her pretend. She gets her swimming suit on and off to the bathroom pool she goes. We like to call it our indoor pool. James has now decided he wants to go for a swim as well. He doesn't want to wear his swimming suit. This is what he decided he was going to wear the other day. All he is missing in a cute little bow for his hair! :)
Here is a front and back shot of my cute little boy. One day he will be really mad that I let the whole world see him in a girls swimming suit. Ha Ha

December UPDATE

I know it is embarrassing that I haven't kept up on my blog. I blame it all on the morning sickness! Here are a few picture of what we have been up too. Hope its not to overwhelming.

Yes, we now have cows in the field. As you can guess this is James new favorite place to hang out
Dantzel was not afraid of Santa. James on the other hand was scared to death. No pictures this year with Santa.
We always seem to stay up way too late and laugh way too hard. I had to add the picture of my brother-in-law in his new "Twitch" glasses. Thanks for all the good times!
My Sister works at the Zoo and so I decided to take my kids on a tour. It was a lot of fun and the best part was we could touch all the animals. They were all so tame.
We had a lot of fun this Christmas eve. Santa came on the fire truck. We went and played at the park. To make the night even better, we went over to Linda's for some Mexican food YUMMY!We had a great Christmas. We spent the whole day playing with toys and playing games. I love that we don't have to travel anywhere. It makes the day that much more special. I love family days!

"Innocence"

"Security"
One of the greatest human needs is a sense of security. In all aspects of life, we naturally gravitate towards anything that makes us feel safe. In this piece, I wanted to convey a sense of complete peace and calm like only the Savior can provide. It's a security that allows us to rest assured, without fear or worry, when we put ourselves trustingly in His arms. Little children have that inherent kind of trust in their parents, so it's fitting that the man and girl who modeled for "Security" are actually father and daughter. They generated
the exact feel I was looking for.

"My Child"
This piece conveys an intimate, up-close-and-personal feeling of the Savior's love. Notice how all the lines draw your attention and point towards Jesus' face in the center. I chose the name "My Child" because the only thing that could compare (even remotely) to Christ's compassion for us is the love of a parent for his/her child. This image is also intended to put things in perspective. Above all, we are God's children first. He allows us the privelege of experiencing parenthood for ourselves and we are entrusted to be the mothers and fathers of His children here on earth.

I think if I had to choose one, which is very hard...I would pick the Innocence. Don't get me wrong I LOVE all of them but I think this would go really good in my little boys room. What a great blessing it is to be able to have such beautiful art in my home. Thanks for sharing your talent of art with us all!
