no more being a CHICKEN

PAUSE THE MUSIC AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE!

James was so cute last night. We were all just hanging out and, all the sudden James stood up in the middle of the room (very common to stand up) and started walking. You could tell that he was so proud of himself. He kept walking around the rest of the night. Dantzel was even getting him to walk to her. As you can see, since Brandon won that T-Shirt she has asked him every night if she could ware it to bed. It totally drowns her but...it makes her happy so I'm all over that. :)

I have to add, when kids learn how to walk it is truly one of my favorite things to watch. I love everything about it. :)

Do you all see our new tube we got for our boat this summer. It came in the mail yesterday and Brandon was having a good old time checking it out. Yeah for boat season! ;)

Tournament CHAMPS

Brandon has been in a co-ed Volleyball tournament for the past 6 weeks. He was on an all Samoan team and well, they totally kick some butt! They went undefeated for the whole bracket and tournament play. It was really fun for me to go and watch him every Tuesday night. Maybe next year I will get to play with him on the team. :)

Way to go Brandon!

Little James had SURGERY

Bright and early Monday morning we took little James in to St. George to have Tubes put in his ears. I would have to say it was bitter sweet handing my little 11 month old over to the man who puts him out (to sleep). As I walked back to the waiting room, it seemed like the walk was forever long. When I finally got to the waiting room my eyes were a little wet but during the walk I had time to blink a lot. Brandon's first question was, where is he, I thought you weren't supposed to leave him alone? As I was telling Brandon what they did when I took him back the Dr. walked out. He was done. That was the fastest bundle of money Brandon and I had ever spent. So far it has been worth it. James seems to be doing really well. Hopefully he continues to get better.

As you can see in the pictures, he was not happy. This was the longest and hardest he has cried. I think that was another hard thing for me. He was still asleep when I finally got into the recovery room. He was really crying when the nurse had him. Being the mom, I thought he would stop crying as soon as I took him from her. He didn't he cried and cried. The poor kid was still trying to wake up and he was also starving. Later I talked with my mom (the family nurse) and she said if they wake up crying then they usually went under crying. That made me feel bad as well. All is well though. Now all I have to do is keep his little ears dry. I hope this doesn't become a problem with us spending most of our time at the pool or the lake this summer. :)

Look at his cute little outfit. It had little taz mania devils and bugs bunny all over with red dots. It really was cute on him!

Fun with the Johnson's

Dallas, Tim and Emery came to visit on the way to Logandale. Dallas and I had a lot of fun with our camera's. We took lots of pictures mainly of the kids. It made me want to live closer to all my siblings. It also made me want to get the kids together more often. They are getting to the age where they can play more together.

Thanks for stopping by. You guys are always fun to play with! :)

Dinky's Birthday!

Dinky had his first birthday on the 19th. I am bad and am now just getting around to posting about our fun dog. Here are 5 reasons why we love our dog in no specific order:
* He has lots of energy to play
* He loves to sit on my lap and watch cartoons (almost every morning)
* He has black and brown hair
* He loves to be crazy dog and run around with me (pretty funny)
* His brown eyes (he is the only one in the family with brown eyes)
Dantzel and James LOVE LOVE LOVE Dinky. When he is not around Dantzel doesn't like it. James has learned at an early age to play catch with him. It is great when Dinky drops his little soccer ball at his feet. James thinks it is pretty cool as well.

SwiMming With DadDy

We had to settle for going swimming at the Rec. Center instead of Lake mead last Saturday. I guess it all worked out. I really didn't want to go to the lake on a windy day. I am also not sure the water at the lake is warm enough to swim in. How do you tell two little kids that love water that they can't swim? We had fun, and it was a lot closer to our house. We even got to come home and take a little nap. Yippee!
