Yummy Squash

James was eating some butternut squash today. We had to move right to the real food because he wanted nothing to do with the rice and oatmeal cereal. I think he is going to be a good eater when he will get to the real big people food. He was already trying to eat my sandwich today during lunch. I put it up to his mouth just to see what he would do and the little stinker to a bit. I didn't realize he actually got some bread in his mouth. He was just chewing it until I took it out. I put my sandwich up to his mouth again and he would have taken another bit if I would have let him. It will be so nice when he can just feed himself.

Halloween Costumes

We are just about ready for Halloween. Dantzel is going to be a Hula Dancer and, James is going to be a flower boy. Dantzel thought it was really funny that he was going to be a flower. She had a hard time at first because she just got done being the flower girl at Stephen and Nicole's wedding. She kept on calling him a flower girl. Now she is good at calling him a flower boy. She will even correct me if I call him a flower girl. I do it on purpose to see if she notices. She does of course. Dantzel has be practicing her dancing. I don't know if she will do any dancing on Halloween. I think she will be shy. We will have to see. Hope everyone has a fun Halloween!

Exciting Moments

Dantzel and James were having so much fun together. Dantzel was singing her heart out like normal. It was very interesting to watch James just watch her like a hawk. He loves it when she sings to him. I think if he could he would be singing right along with her. I hope he enjoys singing as much as Dantzel does.

This was so dang cute. I had to go and get my camera and by that time they were about done playing with each other. I still think the video I captured was cute. They do this a lot during the day and they both love it. I think James likes it the most though. I am very blessed with great kids. :)

A Dozen Questions

Okay, so Nikki has tagged me and I know that if I don't answer all the questions right away then I will keep putting it off. So here I go
1. What was I doing 10 years ago: Volleyball,Volleyball, Volleyball. My whole life was focused on Volleyball, because I had a couch (Rod Adams) who would NOT let me think of anything else. I loved it at the time but, now that I look back at my life sometimes I wish I would have not been so dang focused on just volleyball. I love the game but, there is more to life I have learned. I was also planning when I was going to get my drivers licence. I was getting pretty excited because the next day I was turning 16. Yeah I could date! :) In the summers I was working at the pools as a lifeguard and swimming lessons instructor and Swim team coach. Those were some fun times! I was only sophomore in High School.
2. Five years ago: Brandon and I had just been married 5 years. I was getting used to living in the big Salt Lake City. I was working full time down town in a Bankruptcy office. It was a lot of fun even though I had to start as a file/runner girl. Brandon was working as a RC Willey salesman and going to school full time. We were both very busy. We lived in Grandma Parks basement. It was a lot of fun getting to know her better. She is one of my very good friends still today. Sometimes I really miss not having her live close.
3. One year ago: I was being a mom chasing Dantzel around, I was also working in the real estate business with family members, and to top it off I was 3 months pregnant with our son James. I was trying to get over the morning sickness part of being pregnant.
4. Yesterday: I got up at 5:30 am to work out, made a casserole for a funeral, went grocery shopping, did some laundry, and spent the day with my kids. It was a pretty busy day.
5. 5 snacks I enjoy: Homemade salsa with chips, wheat thins, dried fruit, bananas and any other fruit or veggie.
6. 5 things I would do if I suddenly had $100 million: Put my backyard in (we already know what we want to do), invest, by rentals, vacation, pay off our houses
7. 5 locations I would like to run away to: I know that I would like to go anywhere with Brandon and my kids, Alaska, Hawaii, Mountains and maybe the beach. It really wouldn't matter as long as my family was with me.
8. 5 bad habits: I think I better ask Brandon about this one. Because of course I think I am perfect! j/k :) It will kill 2 birds with one stone if I ask him because then I will know of the things I need to work on.
Okay so he says straight from his mouth my bad habits are: 1. Sleeping during movies (when we watch them not very often). 2. Likes to put clothes from the dryer on the guest bed until she gets around to folding them (usually it is the next day)
So Brandon can't think of any more so I will have to add more later when he can tell me the rest. I even gave him a lot of time so either he has a lot of other things on his mind (like going fishing tomorrow) or he thinks I am perfect for him. :)
9. 5 things I like doing: Like I said before, spending time with Brandon, Dantzel & James, Exercising every morning at 5:30 am, I like to read a book if it is a good one and if I have no distractions like Brandon or the kids around. :) I really enjoy going boating with my family, camping, going on walks (although Brandon isn't a good partner for that. He is a bit lazy) Hope I don't get in trouble for that one. I love you Brandon! Okay so that is 6 things I think I could add a few more but I will keep it short and sweet.
10. 5 TV shows I like: Survivor, Wheel of Fortune, Price is Right (with Bob Barker. I am not to crazy about Drew Carey as the host), Football season (so I can watch with Brandon) and The Bachelorette.
11. 5 things I hate doing: I really hate cleaning the toilet, sorting laundry (I would rather fold then sort), sweeping, mopping my tile floors, changing Dantzels diaper! she should be potty trained by now she thinks it is fun to ware a diaper because her brother James still does. She doesn't want to feel left out. I don't like a stinky bottom. gross me right out!
12. 5 biggest joys of the moment: It makes me really happy when Dantzel plays with James they really love each other. Completing a good work out in the morning. Spending good quality time with Brandon and the kids. boating, and having a clean house.

Visiting the Johnson Family

We went to Visit Dallas, Tim & Emery. It was a lot of fun. We even got to see there house. They have it decorated so cute. We met Jodi and the kids there. We were doing a kid swap. We had to drop Heston off and Pick Casey up. Jodi decided to hold Emery and James at the same time. I had to snap a picture. Of course Jodi was fighting it the whole time. She has a funny face because she was telling me NOT to take any pictures of her. Too bad. James and Emery sure do have a good time just looking at each other. I think Emery just wants to pull out James binky so they can have a conversation. They are so cute. It was sure good to see the Johnson's and there cute little home. Oh yeah, Dallas cook us dinner that was excellent. She is a very good cook! :)

Playin' around

Dantzel was having so much fun dancing with her Ernie. She used to play with him all the time but, I put him away for a while. Now that I have pulled him out again, she thinks she has a brand new toy. I love how kids forget! James likes to play with Ernie as well. He can even turn it on sometimes. It is funny because every time he pushes the button it scares him. Then he realizes that he did it and he starts to giggle. It is pretty darn cute. :)
