We went to SLC for a Park side Family reunion and for Grandma Whatcott's funeral. If was fun seeing all the family in one trip. As you can see Duncan was really happy to see Great Grandpa Rice. He wouldn't let go. Very cute!
Also Duncan LOVES water. He high bolts it to the door if it is even cracked cause he is after the water. Sprinklers came on and he was a GONER! We love you little Dunk! hope you had a very HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY!!!

Birthday time...Duncan is 1

Duncan has been walking for a little while now. I love it when they learn how to walk. He really started standing on his own at about 9 months and he would only take a few steps but, he actually decided to start walking probably a week and a half ago. He is so cute and determined. I love having a toddler around to help "clean" the house. He is into everything!

• waving to daddy when he is leaving for work or any car driving by (going to the store is so cute cause he tries to wave to everybody)

I'm sure I am missing a bunch of things but this is what I can remember right now. We love having him as part of our family. He is such a happy kid. His smile is so contagious! I am very grateful he is a part of our family. We LOVE you Duncan! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUDDY! Love Mommy and Daddy

H2O day

Dantzel was so cute! This is kinda funny but, I guess the teacher didn't get me the memo that NO SWIMMING suits were allowed at water day. No joke, Dantzel was the ONLY kid in just her swimming suit. She had a sun dress on but Mrs. Adams made her take it off and leave it in the class room mind you. I wasn't happy about having to go all the way back to the school to get it. Oh well, ya live and learn. We will know for next year. Maybe next year the wind will also get the memo and stay away. The kids didn't even want to get wet cause it was windy and cold.

Dantzel did it...done with Pre school

Dantzel absolutely loved preschool this last year. She loved having Mrs. Adams and Ms. Maria as teachers.
I asked her a few of her favorite memories of Preschool and this is her reply:
Favorite recess activity? Monkey Bars
Favorite Breakfast (the title 1 program provided this) Rainbow Rabbit yogurt
Loved to play in the 3 kid computers she liked the middle one of course
She loved it when Mrs. Adams would read stories to the class

Of course she loved everything about school. As her Mom I am excited to see how she does in school. Kindergarten here we come! :)

Happy Birthday James

Today is my little James-er's birthday. He is getting so big. He is so excited to finally be 3. This morning when I went into his room to wake him up/sing to him he said "mom, it's not my birthday yet cause I'm not bigger". I think he really thought he was going to noticeably grow over night. He is so funny sometimes.
Here are some things I LOVE about my little guy.

• I love that he will come and give me a hug or kiss if it is needed
• He has been fully potty trained for quite some time. He even keeps his pants dry all night
• He loves to talk any one's ear off about Lord of the Rings, Harry & Potter (I know this is wrong wording but, this is what he calls it) and now Wolverine. We are going to be watching Spider-man tonight. Can't wait to hear all about this for the next week.
• Loves to play outside with his sister
• He use to LOVE going to Nursery up until this last Sunday. He thought he was going to wait for us in the car (all 3 hours). Then he had to go potty just before Sacrament meeting got over and he spent about 10 minutes in the bathroom cause he knew it was almost time to go to Nursery. (gotta love getting new leaders) I am hoping and praying next week is better
• Loves to wrestle his sister and baby brother. I have to watch him close cause Duncan is still little. Pretty soon I am going to have to watch so Duncan doesn't hurt him. I know this is going to be a sad day for James when Duncan can beat him up. Duncan is so tough.
• Loves to go on four-wheeler rides by the river is the favorite place to go
  
• Is very loyal, if we need help with something then he will stick with us and help until the job is done
• LOVES, LOVES, LOVES tools (maybe next years birthday present)
  
• Still a little stubborn. Do they ever grow out of this?!?
